Great news for cruise fans! Carnival just opened bookings for 2027 and 2028 sailings. Three popular ships will offer exciting new itineraries from two top Florida ports.
The biggest change? Carnival Venezia is moving to Miami. This ship brings “Fun Italian Style” to the cruise world. You’ll also find expanded options on Carnival Magic and Carnival Vista.
Carnival Venezia Gets a New Miami Home
Carnival Venezia will call Miami home starting in May 2027. Before that, she’ll spend some time sailing from Port Canaveral during the season.
From Miami, this ship will offer six and eight-day Caribbean cruises through April 2028. The six-day trips head to the western Caribbean. You’ll visit Carnival’s brand-new private destination, Celebration Key.
The longer eight-day cruises explore even more Caribbean gems. Think Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao. These southern Caribbean islands offer amazing beaches and culture.
Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, explained the move: “Carnival Venezia moving to Miami creates even more choice for our guests with longer itineraries to the most popular Caribbean destinations and adds a new flavor of fun with our ‘Italian Style’ experiences.”
What Makes Carnival Venezia Special
This ship holds over 4,000 guests and brings Italian flair to your cruise. You’ll find unique restaurants like Il Viaggio specialty dining. The bars have Italian names too – Amari and Frizzante serve up drinks with style.
Entertainment happens at Teatro Rosso with Playlist Productions shows. Don’t worry – you’ll still find classic Carnival favorites. Bonsai Sushi, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, and Heroes Tribute Bar are all on board.
The ship also has a Cloud 9 Spa for relaxation. Families love the WaterWorks water park and mini golf course on the top deck.
Carnival Magic Expands Miami Options
Carnival Magic isn’t going anywhere – she’s staying in Miami. But she’s adding more cruise choices for 2027-2028.
This Dream-class ship will offer six and eight-day cruises. You can pick from eastern, western, or southern Caribbean routes. Popular stops include Celebration Key, Grand Turk, and St. Thomas.
The southern Caribbean cruises visit the ABC islands – Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao. These Dutch islands offer pristine beaches and colorful towns.
Carnival Magic has plenty to keep you busy on sea days. SportSquare features a ropes course right on the ship. The WaterWorks water park provides fun for all ages.
Dining options include Guy’s Burger Joint and BlueIguana Cantina. For drinks, check out RedFrog Pub or the creative cocktails at Alchemy Bar.
Carnival Vista’s Year-Round Port Canaveral Program
Carnival Vista is expanding her year-round schedule from Port Canaveral. She’ll offer week-long cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean.
This nearly 4,000-guest ship visits some amazing destinations. You’ll stop at Celebration Key and RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay. The ship also calls at Isla Tropicale, another Carnival private destination.
Caribbean ports include Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and San Juan. Eastern Caribbean stops feature St. Maarten and St. Thomas for great shopping and beaches.
Carnival Vista has unique features you won’t find on other ships. The SkyRide lets you pedal a bike track high above the deck. It’s like a roller coaster you power yourself.
Families love the Family Harbor staterooms and exclusive deck area. Adults can escape to Serenity Retreat for quiet time. The WaterWorks water park keeps kids happy for hours.
Why These Changes Matter for Cruisers
These schedule changes give you more choices from Florida’s busiest cruise ports. Miami and Port Canaveral are easy to reach from most of the country.
Having Carnival Venezia in Miami means more variety in cruise lengths. Six-day cruises work great for first-timers or quick getaways. Eight-day trips let you explore more islands without rushing.
The focus on Carnival’s private destinations is smart too. Celebration Key, Half Moon Cay, and Isla Tropicale offer exclusive experiences. You won’t deal with crowded beaches or pushy vendors.
Duffy added: “With Carnival Magic and Carnival Vista continuing to build on their strong popularity, the wide variety of sailings we’re opening today speaks to our commitment to guests who want convenient getaways from Florida.”
Planning Your 2027-2028 Cruise
These new sailings cover different cruise lengths and destinations. Six-day cruises work well for busy schedules or cruise beginners. Week-long trips give you more time to relax and explore.
The variety of Caribbean regions means different experiences. Western Caribbean cruises often feature more adventure activities. Eastern Caribbean offers great shopping and beaches. Southern Caribbean has unique culture and less crowded islands.
All three ships offer different vibes too. Carnival Venezia brings Italian style and longer itineraries. Carnival Magic provides classic Carnival fun with solid amenities. Carnival Vista features the newest innovations and family-friendly spaces.
Carnival will announce more future sailings in the coming weeks. This gives cruise fans even more options to look forward to.
The cruise line continues expanding options from popular Florida homeports. These convenient departure points make it easy to start your vacation without long flights or complicated travel plans.
