The Carnival Dream is expected to arrive back in Galveston on April 5, 2026. Before docking in Texas, the ship is sailing from Barcelona with stops in Alicante, Málaga, and Gibraltar. That’s quite the scenic send-off before the big homecoming!

What Got Upgraded on the Carnival Dream?

The drydock wasn’t just routine maintenance — several areas of the ship received real, noticeable improvements. Passengers who’ve sailed on the Dream before will likely notice the changes right away.

The ship’s retail spaces got some attention during the drydock. The Effy Jewelry shop was refreshed, giving it a cleaner, updated feel. The casino also got a makeover, with a brand-new layout designed to modernize the space and improve the overall experience for guests.

Two new spaces were also added to the ship. Dreams Studio is a professional photo experience where guests can get high-quality portraits taken during their cruise. There’s also a new Carnival Adventures Store, where passengers can browse and book their shore excursions all in one convenient spot.

Once the ship is back home in Galveston, it will pick right back up with its regular sailing schedule. The Carnival Dream runs short cruises to the Bahamas and the Western Caribbean.
