The canceled sailings cover several departure dates across four months. Here’s the full list of affected cruises:
– August 15, 21, and 29, 2027 – September 12, 18, and 26, 2027 – November 7, 2027 – December 5 and 11, 2027
These were six- to eight-night cruises. They were set to sail from Galveston, Texas, to the Western Caribbean and the Bahamas.
What Carnival Is Offering Affected Guests
Carnival didn’t leave passengers empty-handed. The cruise line laid out a few options for those with canceled bookings.
Rate Protection on a New Booking
If you rebook a similar sailing, Carnival will honor your original cruise rate. You’ll need to book a comparable itinerary in a similar cabin category to qualify.
Onboard Credit for Rebooking
Guests who rebook will also receive a $50 per person onboard credit. The credit maxes out at $100 per stateroom.
Full Refund Option
Not ready to rebook? You can cancel and get a full refund instead. This covers your cruise fare and any pre-purchased items or services.
“We sincerely apologize for this change and thank you for your understanding,” Carnival said in its statement.
What the Carnival Jubilee Is Still Doing
The Carnival Jubilee isn’t going anywhere. The LNG-powered ship still sails year-round from the Port of Galveston.
Right now, it offers seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries. Popular stops include Costa Maya, Cozumel, and Carnival’s private island destination, Isla Tropicale in Roatán, Honduras.
Starting this September, the ship will expand its schedule. New six- to eight-night itineraries will also include stops in the Bahamas, featuring Carnival’s private destinations RelaxAway Half Moon Cay and Celebration Key.
