American Cruise Lines Queen of the Mississippi paddlewheel installed

Under construction in Salisbury, MD for American Cruise Lines. The Queen of the Mississippi will be an authentic paddle-wheeler, reminiscent of American’s former grand riverboats. Set to ply the Mississippi, Cumberland, Tennessee and Ohio rivers, the Queen of the Mississippi is scheduled to depart from New Orleans, Louisiana on August 11, 2012. From there, the ship will set out on a 7-night journey up the Mississippi to Memphis, Tennessee. For the remainder of the season, the Queen of the Mississippi will cruise 7-night itineraries travelling as far north at St. Paul, Minnesota.
