Cheers to American Craft Beer Week Aboard Carnival Vista

Aboard Carnival Vista, with the only brewery aboard a North American-based cruise ship, they’re celebrating American Craft Beer Week with the introduction of their own new tropical-flavored beer.

Head over to the RedFrog Pub & Brewery and have a glass of their new brew, Miami Guava Wheat. It was unveiled this past weekend aboard Carnival Vista at a ceremony during which Carnival Vista’s expert brewmaster Colin Presby tapped the first cask of the newest creation.

Guests sampled Presby’s hand-crafted beer, featuring a tropical taste and inspired by Carnival Vista’s homeport of Miami. If you’ve ever been to Miami, maybe you’ve tried a pastelitos de guayaba, or guava pastry and tasted the primary flavor of the new beer…pink guava. It’s yum!

“Since Carnival Vista began sailing from Miami, I’ve become fascinated by tropical fruit and Cuban cuisine so I’m beyond thrilled to create this new Miami Guava Wheat in honor of American Craft Beer Week for our guests to enjoy,” Presby said.

Available on a limited basis, Miami Guava Wheat joins the three other original draft beers brewed only onboard Carnival Vista — ThirstyFrog Port Hoppin’ IPA offering aromatic, floral and hoppy notes with tropical and citrus overtones; ThirstyFrog Caribbean Wheat, an unfiltered wheat beer with flavors of orange and spices; and FriskyFrog Java Stout, a take on a traditional stout, rich and creamy with hints of coffee.

Looking to try one of Carnival Vista’s craft beers? Cruise aboard Carnival Vista from PortMiami on either a six- and eight-day Caribbean cruise to the Caribbean. In fall 2018, Carnival Vista will move to Galveston, Texas when sister ship, Carnival Horizon is launched and comes to Miami for year-round Caribbean cruises.
