Carnival Cruise Lines itinerary changes due to Tropical Storm Ernesto

As of 11:00am this morning, Royal Caribbean has not announced any changes to their itineraries. Carnival Cruise Lines has just updated their list of changes as follows:

TS Ernest Computer Sunday morning Carnival Freedom departing 8/5/12
The Carnival Freedom will proceed to Key West as scheduled and now visit Ocho Rios on Wednesday to ensure we remain at a safe distance from the storm. Our visit to Grand Cayman on Thursday is tentative depending on the future path of the storm.

Below is the revised itinerary:

Sunday-Ft. Lauderdale
Monday-Key West
Tuesday-At Sea
Wednesday-Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Thursday-Grand Cayman – weather permitting as this is a tender port, not a pier.
Friday-At Sea
Saturday-Ft. Lauderdale

CARNIVAL MAGIC from Galveston  8/5/12 departure
Below are the two itinerary options depending on the future path of the storm. The Carnival Magic will sail from Galveston today and a decision will be made on Monday to proceed with option 1 or 2.

CARNIVAL LEGEND – 8/5/12 departure
In order to remain at a safe distance from the storm, Carnival will modify the Carnival Legend’s itinerary and cancel calls to Belize and Mahogany Bay. However, they have added port of Montego Bay, Jamaica to the new itinerary.

Thursday-Grand Cayman
Friday-Cozumel, Mexico

So far, Carnival has said that all other sailings will operate as scheduled.
