Norwegian Jade Heading to Japan

The Norwegian Jade is currently repositioning to the Port of Yokohama ahead of a fall season sailing around Japan and South Korea.

Having completed its summer season in Alaska, the Norwegian Cruise Line vessel started a transpacific cruise on September 21, 2026.

The 16-night repositioning voyage will sail from Vancouver to Yokohama, visiting destinations in Alaska and Japan.

Highlights of the itinerary include calls to Ketchikan, Sitka, Whittier and Kodiak, in addition to scenic cruising at Hubbard Glacier.

The Norwegian Jade is also scheduled to visit the Japanese port of Hakodate before ending in Yokohama on October 7, 2026.

Sailing in the region for the first time since 2019, the Norwegian Jade will offer a series of nine- to 14-night cruises to the Far East through late November.

With itineraries departing from Yokohama, Tokyo and Incheon, the season is highlighted by a two-week voyage that will circumnavigate Honshu and Shikoku.

The cruise will sail from Tokyo to Yokohama in late October, visiting 12 destinations in Japan and one in South Korea.

Among the ports of call set to be visited are Sakata, Kanazawa, Shimonoseki and Hiroshima, as well as Nagoya, Busan and Shimizu.

In early December, the Norwegian Jade offers a repositioning voyage to Hong Kong ahead of a winter season sailing to Southeast Asia.

The 2,400-passenger ship is scheduled to return to Japan in late February, kicking off a spring season in the Far East. The deployment in the region runs through late April, when the vessel is set to return to North America for another summer in Alaska.

Before kicking off its repositioning voyage to Asia, the Norwegian Jade underwent an upgrade as part of a routine drydock.

Similar to other Jewel-class ships, the vessel saw the addition of Vibe Beach Club, as well as the debut of a new Starbucks in its atrium.
