Royal Caribbeans Vision Switches Cruise from Canada/NE to Bahamas
The next cruise aboard Royal Caribbean's Vision of the Seas will sail to the Bahamas and Florida instead of Canada and New England.
According to a statement sent to guests, the change is related to adverse weather currently impacting North America's Northeast coast.

The 1998-built ship was scheduled to depart from Baltimore today, September 24, 2026, for a nine-night cruise to destinations in Canada, Maine and Massachusetts.
Instead of operating the itinerary as scheduled, the Vision will now remain docked in Baltimore for another day before sailing to Port Canaveral, Nassau and Grand Bahama.
"Before we begin our adventure together, we have an important update to share," Royal Caribbean said in its statement.
"We've been closely monitoring the development of several weather systems along the path of our originally planned itinerary," the company continued.
"Due to unfavorable weather conditions and high winds, we must change our itinerary to ensure a safe and comfortable experience."
Royal Caribbean said that its teams explored all available options before "making the difficult decision of replacing the Canada and New England Itinerary."
The company also noted that check-in and boarding operations had to be postponed to 4:30 PM on Thursday due to delays in the ship's previous sailing.
For safety reasons and weather conditions, departure from Baltimore is now scheduled for 3:00 PM on Friday, September 25, 2026.
"While this is not the original itinerary we planned to explore together, we're looking forward to visiting these new ports with you," the company added.
Any pre-paid shore excursions booked through Royal Caribbean for the cancelled ports will be refunded to guests as refundable onboard credits.
The ship's original itinerary included visits to Boston, Portland and Halifax, in addition to an overnight call to Saint John and three days of cruising in the North Atlantic.
The Vision of the Seas is scheduled to offer additional cruises from Baltimore before repositioning to Puerto Rico in early November
