The Norwegian Breakaway’s seven-night Canada and New England cruise has a new look. The sailing departs on October 3, 2027, and NCL has swapped out one port and reshuffled the schedule.

Why Did Norwegian Make This Change?
NCL cited port availability as the reason for the adjustment. The company explained in a statement to booked guests:
“As part of our commitment to delivering a seamless and enriching experience, we’ve made an itinerary adjustment due to newly updated port availability.”
Port schedules can shift for many reasons. Local authorities, docking availability, and other factors all play a role. Norwegian acknowledged that these changes aren’t always easy to accept:
“As fellow travelers at heart, we understand that itinerary changes can bring disappointment and truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility.”
The New Port Schedule
Norwegian put a positive spin on the change. The line told guests:
“Even the most thoughtfully planned sailings can occasionally shift course. While these moments aren’t always expected, they often open the door to fresh ways of experiencing your vacation, new rhythms, new views and a little more room to simply relax into the journey.”
The updated itinerary now includes these ports:
- Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada (new addition)
- Eastport, Maine
- Halifax, Nova Scotia
- Saint John, New Brunswick
NCL also adjusted arrival times across the board. The goal is to help guests make the most of their time in each port.
