What Is MSC World Asia?
MSC Cruises is launching its newest World Class ship this December. The ship joins sister vessels MSC World Europa and MSC World America in the fleet. A fourth ship, MSC World Atlantic, is currently under construction, with two more already in development.

A Floating Art Gallery
MSC Cruises designed MSC World Asia to celebrate Asian culture, landscapes, and tradition. Stunning artwork and sculptures appear throughout the ship. You’ll find them in public spaces, corridors, restaurants, and even inside your cabin.
The Dragon of the World Promenade
The showstopper is a massive stainless steel dragon. It hangs from the ceiling of the World Promenade, a full 10 meters above the floor. The sculpture stretches 12 meters long and 9 meters wide.
The dragon is made up of nearly 700 mirrors and 3,000 LED lights. As you walk through the Promenade’s restaurants and bars, this glittering creature watches overhead. It’s the kind of thing you’ll want to photograph the moment you step on board.
Giant Koi Fish by a Celebrated Artist
The World Promenade also features large-scale koi fish sculptures. UK-based artist David Harber created these eye-catching pieces. Koi fish are a beloved symbol in Asian culture, representing good luck and perseverance.
Art at the Indoor Pool
Even the indoor pool area gets an artistic touch. A striking installation greets guests as they enter. Artist Elisabetta Milan designed the piece in the shape of a water droplet.
The installation measures about 5 feet wide and 8 feet tall. Its shape widens toward the base, giving it a light and flowing feel. It’s a perfect fit for a space built around water.
Corridor and Cabin Artwork
Every deck on the ship has a name inspired by a city in Asia. The corridor artwork on each deck matches its city’s theme. This creates a unique look and feel as you move through the ship.
Vietnamese artist Hoan Phan contributed several stunning pieces to the collection. Highlights include artwork inspired by Japan’s iconic Mount Fuji and Vietnam’s breathtaking Hạ Long Bay. Inside your cabin, expect to find art that reflects Asian landscapes, colors, and nature.
Artwork in Restaurants, Bars, and More
The art experience continues in the ship’s venues. Swiss art workshop Atelier Le Castel created custom pieces for several spaces. These include La Dolce Vita bar, the Bubbles café, the theatre, and the exclusive MSC Yacht Club.
The Kaito Sushi Restaurant also gets a special artistic touch. Artist Raimondo Briata created koi fish artwork just for this venue. It ties the restaurant’s Asian theme together beautifully.
