Late last week, Royal Caribbean held a traditional steel cutting ceremony for their new Quantum Ultra-Class ship, named Odyssey of the Seas. With over 5,600 passengers, the Quantum Ultra Class is slightly largest than the original Quantum Class.
The event took place at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. Odyssey of the Seas is expected to debut in fall 2020 and will sail from the United States. More details on Odyssey of the Seas will be revealed later this year.
Royal Caribbean’s first Quantum Ultra Class ship, Spectrum of the Seas, is scheduled to launch this spring. If Odyssey has most of the same onboard attractions, it will include North Star and Bionic Bar, plus the Sky Pad, a virtual reality bungee trampoline.
