American Cruise Lines treats guests to Lobsterbake event in Newport

New for the 2012 New England cruising season, American Cruise Lines has added a complimentary lobsterbake event in Newport, Rhode Island.

The event will take place at Fort Adams, the largest coastal fortification in the United States, located across from Newport Harbor.

This fun and entertaining experience will be offered on five sailings, one six-night and four seven-night cruises, all departing from Providence, Rhode Island, aboard the American Star.

American Cruise Lines is offering these complimentary lobsterbakes in the center of Newport’s Fort Adams on the following New England Islands cruises:  June 17, 23, July 28, August 18 and 25.

After leaving the ship at the dock in Newport, guests will practically step right into historic Fort Adams. Once inside this immense fort, the classic New England feast will begin. Guests will be able to view the preparation and cooking extravaganza which includes lobster, clams and mussels. And as cruise lines are famous for doing, there is no portion control. It’s an “all you can eat” old-fashioned lobsterbake.
